Let Them Be Kids

Let Them Be Kids is an all volunteer non-profit organization that acts as a catalyst to help build community capacity on the grassroots level, while building playgrounds, skate parks and fitness parks across Canada.

Project Details

The Active Creative Engaged (ACE) Committee in High Level was interested in creating a 'third place' in the community. So many of us spend a majority of our time either at work, or at home. This space will encourage people to have fun and stay active.

The 103 Street Park is a place where families gather with their small children and enjoy the surroundings.

Currently this park is nicknamed the "Fire Fighters" park, because much of the equipment resembles fire trucks. The local fire department has maintained this park over the years. However, when the ACE committee learned about the Let Them Be Kids Foundation, they knew that a park revitalization would be an excellent opportunity engage the community while building valuable partnerships.

ACE Plans to raise an additional $10,000 by September 26th, 2009. If you are interested in sponsoring this project, or being a volunteer on 'build day' please register on our site (to the right).

Date- Sept 26th
Time- 9am-5pm
Location- 103rd St Park
High Level, Alberta
